Harnessing the power of innovation to meet every learner where they are, and take them where they dream to go.

Why This Matters

Technology has the power to transform education to tailor learning to each student, break down barriers of time and geography, and make knowledge universally accessible. But today, the U.S. education system is stuck in a pre-digital paradigm: outdated textbooks, underfunded tech infrastructure, and overreliance on testing over engagement.

To prepare for a rapidly evolving world, America must integrate ethical, equitable, and human-centered technology across all levels of education,  not to replace teachers, but to empower them and their students.

Current Challenges

Guiding Principles

Policy Proposals & Initiatives

Universal Digital Access

  • Guarantee broadband internet and modern devices to every public school and learner
  • Fund digital infrastructure in rural, tribal, and underserved communities
  • Establish tech equity audits for schools and districts

Personalized & Adaptive Learning Tools

  • Support open-source AI-powered learning platforms that adapt to student pace and mastery
  • Design inclusive systems for students with disabilities, language barriers, or trauma
  • Integrate real-time feedback dashboards for teachers and students

Educator Tech Training & Support

  • Provide mandatory digital literacy and AI fluency training for all K–12 educators
  • Fund ongoing professional development fellowships in digital learning design
  • Build peer educator networks to share best practices and tools

Edtech Standards & Oversight

  • Create a National Edtech Certification Body to evaluate educational quality, ethics, and accessibility
  • Require edtech vendors to disclose data collection practices and algorithmic decision logic
  • Establish guidelines for age-appropriate screen time and content quality

Blended & Hybrid Learning Models

  • Support schools in developing hybrid learning systems combining in-person and virtual components
  • Expand access to online courses, dual enrollment, and digital credentials for all learners
  • Partner with libraries, museums, and public broadcasters to deliver multimedia education

Implementation Strategy

  • Launch a Federal Digital Learning Investment Act to modernize infrastructure nationwide

  • Create public-private R&D labs to develop ethical edtech solutions for underserved learners

  • Build a national repository of vetted digital learning content and tools

  • Provide grants for tech-forward pilot schools, especially in disadvantaged regions

  • Collaborate with higher ed institutions to train the next generation of edtech leaders and teachers

How You Can Help

For Parents & Communities

  • Support school tech equity initiatives and digital literacy campaigns

  • Ask your local schools how tech is being used and who it’s leaving behind

  • Encourage balanced screen time and critical engagement with digital tools

For Educators

  • Integrate adaptive tools that personalize learning, not just digitize worksheets

  • Share your tech successes and challenges with other teachers

  • Advocate for training, bandwidth, and instructional design time

For Policymakers & Edtech Developers

  • Invest in public-interest edtech not just profit-driven platforms

  • Ensure compliance with data protection, accessibility, and ethical use laws

  • Center user feedback especially from marginalized learners in system design
